Crop Circles

52 soaring forward beauty in their wake The Swallows landed at Adams Grave like a family of the exotic creatures referred to in the introduction. It was unlike anything we had seen before. The grace and originality of the design drew hundreds of visitors what had been a meticulous and lightly laid crop circle was soon trampled to dust. The Ogbourne St George event was positioned in a secret vale on the downs above Marlborough, invisible from any road. Though it had six arms it was, in fact, a precise eightfold construction with two of the eight arms removed. The enigmatic North Down formation arrived at the end of the season by the A361. An artful visual joke, it was constructed entirely of 61 circles of the same diameter. Adams Grave, Alton Barnes, 4th August 2003 Below Ogbourne St.George,15th June 2003 North Down, 10th August 2003
